- Authors
Cook, Kristin
- Abstract
The article discusses the illegality of familial consent for registered organ donors in the U.S. It states that medical professionals are reluctant to remove organs of registered organ donor due to fear of lawsuits against them by a deceased's family. It argues that organ donor card should be respected. Thus, medical professionals should have no fear of lawsuits. In addition, all major religions believe that organ donation is moral because it could save the life of recipients.
