- Abstract
In response to the situation that the original beam assignment scheme is not applicable in the Medium Access Control(MAC) protocol of terahertz wireless networks, the time slot utilization is low in the case of the limited number of new nodes in the association request period, and the nodes with the lower sector number have been unable to obtain time slots when the network traffic is large, resulting in a steep increase in latency, an high efficiency and low latency terahertz MAC protocol(HELL-MAC) for wireless local area network(LAN) is proposed. The protocol reduces the unnecessary beam assignment process by using the information interaction between the central control node and the common nodes, and improves the time slot utilization by using the opportunistic multiplexing association sub-channel access period(S-CAP) mechanism to improve the time slot utilization, and the fair time slot allocation mechanism to improve the fairness of time slot allocation, thus reducing the beamforming time, decreasing the average end-to-end delay, and improving the channel utilization.
