- Title
Pancreatic Amylase and Lipase Plasma Concentrations Are Unaffected by Increments in Endogenous GLP-1 Levels Following Liquid Meal Tests.
- Authors
Sonne, David P.; Vilsbøll, Tina; Knop, Filip K.
- Abstract
The article explores the effectiveness of incretin-based therapies on increasing plasma concentrations of amylase and lipase in patients receiving treatment. Topics discussed include the role of elevated GLP-1 receptor agonist concentrations on increases in amylase and lipase and findings from the authors' study aimed at measuring pancreas-specific amylase and lipase in plasma including the longevity of the GLP-1 effect.
