- Authors
Garver, Rachel; Noguera, Pedro
- Abstract
The article presents a case study of the security efforts of the Seacrest High School in Delray Beach, Florida and their impact on education reform with reference to violent conflicts between Asian and black students during the 2009-2010 academic year in the school. It mentions that narrow focus on security has affected the effectiveness of the costly measures that in turn prevented educators from taking actions to address the quality of the educational environment.
