- Abstract
This article summarizes three studies conducted in different locations (Mumbai, India and Kathmandu, Nepal) that explore the experiences and perceptions of medical interns during their internship period. The studies found that interns generally viewed the internship as a challenging but beneficial phase that improved their skills and prepared them for future practice. However, concerns were raised about the workload and the need for improvement in the internship experience. The studies highlight the importance of practical experiences for professional growth and provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of internship programs.
