- Abstract
The article explores reactions from religious leaders and Catholics, Jews, and ecumenical Protestants to events in Germany during the Nazi era. Emphasis is given to international activism in response to the persecution of Jews, the plight of refugees, and support for German resistance to Nazism. Activists discussed include Bernhard Kahn, Friedrich Siegmund-Schultze, and James McDonald.
