- Abstract
The article discusses a study related to comparison of effectiveness of allogeneic Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) and autologous Mesenchymal stem cells in treatment of left ventricular (LV) dysfunction caused due to ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM). The study showed that in early-stage study of patients with ICM, transendocardial injection of allogeneic and autologous MSCs without a placebo control were associated with low rates of treatment including immunologic reactions. MSC injection affected patient functional capacity, quality of life and ventricular remodeling.
