- Abstract
In this study, a scissor lift work platform is designed and analyzed. The parts of a platform which have specific size and measurement is created solid models and assembled them in a drawing program. The upper part of the platform is applied a specific load because of the created platform having specific carrying capacity. In this respect, forces on the profiles which are the parts of platform are calculated theoretically. After that, both platform's movement ability and forces on the profiles and some parts in all positions are obtained by using MBD (Multi Body Dynamics) analysis in an analysis program. Obtained data are compared with calculated data and two results show that they have approximately same values. Platform's critical position is determined and the analysis program's Static Structural Analysis is used by applying forces which are taken from MBD analysis to all profiles and some parts. Stress, deformation and safety factor on all examined parts are obtained and appropriate values are occurred according to TS EN 280 standard for platforms. Further, how values are changing is observed by changing some parameters.
