- Abstract
This document is a preface to a special issue of the journal Fractals on the topic of fractal dimension and fractional calculus. Fractal dimension is a tool used to understand the geometric properties of irregular sets that occur in nature and finance. The special issue includes papers on various topics related to fractal dimension and fractional calculus, such as box dimensions of continuous functions, fractal functions generated by Rakotch contraction, and the dimension of Riemann-Liouville fractional integral. The issue has been edited by Saurabh Verma from the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Yongshun Liang from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. The article is open access and distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License.
