- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 25-year-old male who was admitted to a hospital with a five-year history of schizophrenia and has been treated with risperidone for several years. He experienced priapism, a painful and prolonged penile erection that occurs without sexual arousal, during the last month of his medication. The article discusses priapism as the side effect of the patient's risperidone treatment.
