- Abstract
The paper presents the study on the infestation of yellow lupine, variety Markiz by Colletotrichum lupini (Bondar) Nirenberg, Feiler & Hagedorn. The study was conducted in 2011-2013 at a research station locating at Tomaszkowo, and belonging to the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. It was a split-plot field experiment for two following factors: I. types of sowing - a) precision drilling ; b) row sowing; II. sowing rates of full quality seeds per 1 m2 which were: 40, 60, 80 and 100 seeds. The degree of infestation of yellow lupine by Colltotrichum lupini was influenced both by the weather pattern and the investigated agro-technical factors. High moisture and temperature in May and June 2013 favored spread of the disease. The type of seed sowing had an effect on the degree of lupine infestation with anthracnose. Through a higher plant density in some parts of the rows, the row sowing caused a more intense development of the disease, compared to the point sowing with more evenly located plants. An increased sowing rate per 1 m2 in 2011 and 2013 resulted in a higher number of plants infected by anthracnose.
