- Abstract
The article discusses the development in the medical education through a revamp in the curriculum of the University of Malta in Malta. It offers information on the changes in postgraduate training in the medical education of the country including the launch of the Foundation Program and Postgraduate Training Programmes in several medical specialties. According to the author, the implementation of the changes has increased the administrative burden and teaching workloads of academic members and has highlighted the need for continued training and assessment of the teaching skills of the academic staff. It also emphasizes that adherence to the changes is important to ensure patient safety and quality in medical care.
