- Abstract
The article focuses on sex segregation in employment being allowed in order to protect the privacy of individuals under the Civil Rights Act. Topics discussed include the bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) used as a defense for sexual discrimination in such cases, burden of proof in cases of BFOQ, hiring of only female nurses discussed in Fesel v. Masonic Home of Delaware, Inc., sexual misconduct by male correctional officers against female inmates discussed in Robino v. Iranon.
