- Title
ETHICAL STEM CELL RESEARCH SUCCEEDS.
- Authors
Prentice, David
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study conducted by researchers Shinya Yamanaka and James Thomson concerning the reprogramming of induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. It states that the iPS cell technique helps scientists to access pluripotent stem cells in allowing the disease to be studied in culture and potentially providing a tissue match. Moreover, messenger ribose nucleic acid (mRNA) technique is also applied to obtain iPS cells from any tissue to insert reprogramming genes into genomic DNA.
