- Abstract
The aim of this study was to describe an experience of a physiotherapist in a multiprofessional residence in family and community health. This is a qualitative, descriptive study, in the form of an experience report. This experience occurred in four basic health units, through individual and collective actions of prevention, cure, and educational activities over a period of two years, focused on the needs of the local population with regard to primary care. The physiotherapist emerges as an important professional in family health, with a multidisciplinary and comprehensive perspective toward care, even in the face of demands outside one's specific area, with the goal of a permanent, reflective, critical, and expanded view toward public health. This makes such experiences of great importance for transforming the care model and the practices of health care.
