- Abstract
The article discusses a study which quantified elementary school Thai English teachers' perceptions of their level of proficiency in English as well as their self-assessed teaching efficacy in English. Topics include the correlation between English proficiency and English teaching efficacy, factors that could have an effect on teaching efficacy, and review of literature relevant to the use of English as a global language. It also discusses the research methodology and study's recommendations.
