- Title
Organic electronics: What's in a name?
- Authors
deMello, John C.
- Abstract
The article reports on the potential of the electric force microscopy to measure light-emitting electrochemical cells (LEECs). LEECs refer to the precise role of ions in light-emitting devices, which resulted to an intense debate due to conflicting models of proposed device operation, in which neither one has gained universal acceptance due to the lack of definitive experimental evidence. Such microscopy was found to resolve the debate as it revealed an operating mechanism.
