- Abstract
In this article, the author offers information on a project involving block play and dinosaurs, designed to enhance language and social skills of children in a multicultural and multilingual classroom. She informs that the project was implemented at the American School of Milan (ASM) in Italy, and its planning involved brief observations of children to incorporate their interest in dinosaurs and blocks. She discusses the challenges faced by teachers in classrooms with linguistic and cultural differences, and mentions focus given on children's social, physical, cognitive, and second language development in the ASM's childhood programs. She also discusses the project's outcomes, and mentions the benefits of upgrading teaching practices.
