A literary criticism is presented of texts by philosopher Edmund Husserl, including the book "Logical Investigations" ("Logischen Untersuchungen"), the typescript "Entwurf zur Einführung der zweiten Bearbeitung der Logischen Untersuchungen," and the two-part article "Entwurf einer 'Vorrede' zu den 'Logischen Untersuchungen.'" Topics include the roles of research assistants Ludwig Landgrebe, Edith Stein, and Eugen Fink in the production of the texts, the use of the term descriptive psychology, and Husserl's critique of philosopher Alexius Meinong.
