- Abstract
Objective:To probe into the application effect of real cross-sectional assessment model in night shift admission evaluation of nurses in neurosurgery.Method:A total of 18 new nurses and rotation nurses were selected in department of neurosurgery in Huai’an First People’s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University in 2015 as the control group. The first post-theory skills training assessment model was used for night shift admission evaluation.20 new nurses and rotational nurses were selected as the observation group in 2016,and the night shift admission assessment was conducted on the basis of the control group using the cross-sectional examination model. The work ability, night care quality, incidence of adverse events in one year, and satisfaction were compared between two groups of nurses after they were admitted to work. Results:The work ability score of nurses in observation group was (90.78±5.71),which was higher than that of control group(80.41±10.76),the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.01).The night care quality score of the observation group was (90.84±6.73),which was higher than that of the control group (86.07±7.38),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the observation group nurses within 1 year after admission was 15 cases, which was lower than that of the control group(40 cases).Satisfaction of the nurses and teachers in the observation group on the evaluation of night shift admission was 100.00%,10/10 and 98.61% respectively, which was higher than that of the control group (72.22%,6/10 and 91.67%,respectively).There was statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusions:The real cross-sectional assessment mode was applied to the neurosurgery night shift nurses admission evaluation. It could improve the clinical work ability of the newly admitted nurses and effectively improve the quality of work during nighttime independent duty to ensure nighttime nursing safety.
