- Abstract
In AbdAllah et al. study, a hundred patients unintentionally got pregnant while treated with directly acting antivirals (DAAs) for hepatitis C virus (HCV) management. The two newborns were breastfeeding with negative viremia and normal growth parameters.[2] Our results are confirming the potential safety of DAAs use, with no significant foetal malformations or unfavourable pregnancy outcomes in pregnant females who have been either directly or indirectly exposed to DAAs. All patients were prescribed 12 weeks of sofosbuvir/daclatasvir regimens (with ribavirin in one patient).
