- Abstract
The article focuses on the change in the business culture of appointing non-nationals as executives of firms in Japan. Topics discussed include the importance of emerging market, the appointment of French national Christophe Weber is chief executive officer (CEO) of the Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and leadership qualities in Yasuchika Hasegawa of Takada. It mentions the example of appointing Carlos Ghosn as chief executive officer (CEO), who had saved automotive maker Nissan from financial crises.
