- Abstract
We leave branches of the PIA at the planned graft site between extensor carpi ulnaris and digiti minimi muscles, to the ulna periosteum intact, but cut its branches to the skin and muscles. Several surgical techniques have been described, including one-bone forearm, bone transport and free vascularized fibula graft, which appears to be currently the most popular option ([3]). Taking a free vascularized fibula graft is technically more demanding and it can lead to progressive ankle deformity ([2]), which can be avoided by using an ipsilateral pedicled vascularized ulna graft in the treatment of congenital radial pseudoarthrosis.
