Eating less to remember more.
- Authors
Welberg, Leonie
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study by Agnes Floel on "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America" (PNAS) which depicts that low calorie diet can improve memory. It notes that the improvement of memory is associated with the decrease in fasting plasma levels of insulin and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein which are both linked to inflammation. Floel relates that decreased inflammation can help brain function.
