- Abstract
Given the great role played by the Egyptian State in shaping Egypt's tourism development policies and plans, it plays a significant role in the development of many new cities In light of Egypt's Vision 2030, including New Mansoura City. It is one of the cities of the fourth generation that was inaugurated by Republican decree in 2018, and work is still being done in order to bring this city into the locomotive of the urban revolution to create the new cities. New Mansoura City was not only recently founded but also became one of the top Mediterranean coastal cities due to its varying geographical nature, such as the desert areas on the shore and the agricultural areas towards the delta and Dakahlia governorate. The aim of the research is to study the possibility of placing the new city of Mansoura on the tourist map as a modern tourist destination in the light of Egypt's vision 2030, by developing a proposed vision to highlight this possibility, and in this regard, the research used the mixed research method, where (5) interviews were conducted. A standardized figure with officials from the Urban Communities Authority, the Director of the Tourism Department, and the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Revitalization. A number (64) questionnaires were distributed to workers in the Tourism Department, in addition to the workers of the Urban Communities Authority and the Egyptian Regional Authority for Tourism Revitalization in Dakahlia Governorate; to identify the possibility of placing the New Mansoura City on the tourism map under the new presidential initiatives. This is reflected in promoting the tourist movement to Egypt as a tool for the collection of primary data, as well as in many previous studies of research and articles, and many scientific references as a tool for collecting secondary data. The analytical descriptive curriculum and the statistical analysis programme SPSS 26 were used to collect data for the study. One of the most important findings of the research was that there was a lack of coordination between the Department of Tourism and the Egyptian Tourism Development Authority with the private sector, represented by tourism companies, to place New Mansoura City as a modern tourist destination in various tourism programs. There is also inadequate planning for New Mansoura City in establishing multiple tourist accommodations with different prices to suit all categories. As for the most important research recommendations, the research found the need to place New Mansoura City on the tourist world map with its natural and human tourist elements as planned in light of Egypt's Vision 2030. This will be achieved by placing New Mansoura City in many domestic and foreign tourism programmes and paying attention to promoting it through the use of many different advertising tools and by presenting a strategic tourism plan for New Mansoura City. In addition, it is necessary to take advantage of successful and outstanding international experience in the tourism planning process for both Arab and foreign countries.
