- Abstract
The article offers information on the study conducted on the selection of genes which regulate autophagy on tumorigenesis for the survival of tumor cells. The inquiry was conducted with the use of immortalized mouse kidney epithelial-cell lines taken from either beclin-1 or heterozygous mice. It was discovered that in instances where cells are unable to undergo cell death, the installation of autophagy can promote survival and controls genomic instability as a tumor-suppressive mechanism.
