- Authors
Sedeño-Díaz, Jacinto Elías; López-López, Eugenia
- Abstract
The article features the Girardinichthys viviparus, known as Mexclapique or Chapultepec splitfin, as one of the endangered species of fish in the world. It notes the detailed identification of Girardinichthys viviparus and its endemic distribution in Basin of Mexico. It suggests that water extraction and urban and industrial development contributes to the possible extinction of Girardinichthys viviparus.
