- Abstract
This research was conducted in order to determine the self-esteem and decision-making styles of school administrators in decision-making. In line with the aim, the personal information form and the questionnaire consisting of the career disability scale were applied to 180 school administrators working in schools in the Bağcılar district of Istanbul province in the 2022-2023 academic year. The data obtained from the surveys were evaluated using SPSS 22.0 statistical program in a computer environment. As a result of the research, it was found that the self-esteem levels of school administrators were higher than average in decision-making, school administrators used the most careful decision-making style, and they used procrastinating, panic and avoidant decision-making styles at a fairly low level. While differences were found in the self-esteem levels of school administrators in making decisions according to their age, it was found that there were no differences according to their gender, educational status and managerial tenure, and in decision-making styles, there were differences only in gender, age and educational status in making evasive decisions.
