- Abstract
The article discusses the application of the multiple regression analysis created under the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in the U.S. In the context of employment discrimination, multiple regression analysis is used as a statistical technique to indicate the factors that influence the salary of an individual. Using multiple regression analysis, plaintiffs are given a powerful and sophisticated evidentiary tool for determining even subtle forms of employment discrimination. There are two analytical approaches that offer a framework for assessing statistical credibility: the continuing violation theory and the integrated disparate treatment/impact theory.
