- Abstract
The article focuses on the representation of security holders's interests under Section 77 of the Bankruptcy Act of the U.S. It mentions that the law was formed to manage the bankruptcies of country's railroad industry through recapitalization and reorganization. It informs that Section 77 was combined with disclosure provisions of the Securities Act and the Securities Exchange Act. It reveals that these two acts were aimed at regulation the effective working of railroad committees and public utility committees and finding faults to these two systems, being governed by the Interstate Commerce Commission.
