- Abstract
The article discusses the role that the 16th century theological scholar Cesare Baronio played in writing the history of conversion of heretics to the Catholic Church in his document "Apologeticus." An overview of the Catholic convert Justus Baronius, including Pope Clement VIII's perspective on his conversion, is provided. The Catholic Church's policy on the conversion of Protestants is discussed.
