- Abstract
The article analyzes a study on modeling the metabolic disorders of human obesity in rodents. It notes that high-fat (HF) diets have been used by researchers to generate obese rodent models. Also mentioned are general metabolic effects of such diets, including increased basal and postprandial blood sugar levels. It adds that HF diets that can induce obesity based on animal and plant fats lead to hepatic steatosis.
