The article looks at strategies for retaining key personnel during corporate mergers and acquisitions. The authors discuss a range of retention strategies, including bonuses, promotions, and personal communication from top managers. They report on the results of a survey conducted by professional services firm Towers Watson on questions including which employees were targeted for retention efforts, which retention strategies were used, and the extent of their success.
