- Abstract
Introduction. Dentistry represents 9.2% of all medical complaints over CONAMED in 2011, so it made recommendations aimed at preventing the errors found in the disagreements. The aim of the study was to determine the level of awareness and acceptance of dentists about medical arbitration. Material and methods. Was designed and applied to private practice dentists with networks of ISES Centaur and Delta Dental, an instrument for measuring the degree of knowledge in the field of medical arbitration and analyzed variables such as gender, school and work data and attitudes to a complaint . Results. 699 surveys were collected from 31 states dentists, with 20.1 years of practice on average, 81.5% have postgraduate degrees, 72.5% know if in exists a state commission of medical arbitration (CEAM), 62.1% consider that CONAMED and CEAM are impartial in his actions and 85.7% trust them fully or partially. Conclusions. We observed a high level of trust and knowledge about the Medical Arbitration Commission performance.
