- Abstract
The figure of Ambrosio de la Cuesta y Saavedra is well known for his cultural role within the city of Seville in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. His death, a fatal fall from the wall of Seville, has always been considered a terrible accident. However, it is important to know the serious personal difficulties that this prebendary suffered in the last years of life. These circumstances allow us to know the private facets of the life of such a relevant person.
