- Abstract
En la adolescencia las preferencias musicales son un elemento clave en la construcción de la identidad social. En la actualidad muchos estilos preferidos por adolescentes pertenecen a músicas de consumo de masas, producidas por tecnologías musicales muy precisas. El objetivo de esta investigación es establecer perfiles sonoros en los adolescentes a partir del análisis de sus preferencias musicales así como otras variables sociodemográficas, académicas y de personalidad. Para ello, y a través de la aplicación de un protocolo de investigación compuesto por una escala académico-formativa ad hoc, el cuestionario Five Inventory (BFI-10) y una adaptación de la Escala Sobre Preferencias Musicales (HERRERA, CREMADES & LORENZO, 2010), 464 adolescentes han aportado datos y opiniones sobre este tema. Los resultados muestran un perfil generalizado de adolescente, con unas preferencias musicales constituidas por 5 géneros populares pertenecientes a las “músicas de masas”: el Pop, el Reggaetón, el Hip-hop, el Trap y la música Electrónica. Estos datos han sido relacionados con los diversos perfiles de personalidad así como características socio-demográficas. Con todo ello se dan indicaciones para un mejor aprovechamiento de los espacios educativos musicales en esta etapa.
