- Abstract
The film version of "The Cat in the Hat" is a crafted and highly-stylized, magical world where an uninvited visitor turns the boring day of two children into an adventure-filled trip through a fantasyland inspired by the visionary author Dr Seuss and brought to life on the big screen by award-winning filmmakers. These notes have been developed to help teachers enhance the viewing experiences of children in middle and upper primary school years. Information and ideas for learning activities provide a range of options from which teachers can select to suit student needs and interests. Activities provide opportunities to develop learning outcomes across key learning areas, but in particular English, the Arts, Health and Studies of Society.
