An interview with composer and singer Colleen Dauncey, writer and performer Anika Johnson, and writer, performer, director, and teacher Barbara Johnston is presented. They talk about the craft of writing musicals and the challenges of getting new work produced, and female musical theatre writers. They also discuss the sense of community that lies at the core of Canadian musical theatre.
