- Abstract
The article reports that the National Health Service (NHS) bowel cancer screening programme has helped lower incidence of bowel cancer from the third to the fourth most commonly seen cancer in Great Britain. It discusses the three common symptoms of bowel cancer, which include a change in bowel habit, rectal bleeding and abdominal discomfort. Also discussed is the role of nurses in helping patients with bowel cancer.
