- Abstract
The article presents the case of a 76-year-old male who was rushed to a hospital due to episodes of severe unilateral pain along the left posterior aspect of his tongue, jawline and tonsillar fossa. After a year, the pain started to include his left ear lobe. Also mentioned are his possible differential diagnosis like giant cell arteritis (GCA) and primary or metastatic tumors, as well as his final diagnosis of glossopharyngeal neuralgia.
