- Abstract
The article presents a study on the ground-based method of assessing urban forest structure, functions and values in the U.S. The data collection variables and model methods were compared among its 14 cities with an average tree density ranging from 22.5 trees/ha to 111.6 trees/ac. The Urban Forest Effects (UFORE) model was developed to help in assessing the urban forest structure and several functions.
