- Abstract
The article focuses on the wrongful convictions in the U.S. criminal justice system because of implied judgment based on Brady rule. It examines the implications of Brady v. Maryland, a case from the Supreme Court of the U.S. on conviction, imprisonment, and execution of constitutional rights of defendant. It highlights the open file system based on modern interpretation of the Brady rule in criminal discovery practice that helps to reduce the conviction rate.
