Title
Ethylene Glycol Production from Synthesis Gas.
Abstract
The article discusses mechanisms of ethylene glycol production from synthesis gas. It states that monoethylene glycol (MEG) is used in the production of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and mentions that use of synthesis gas, which is a gaseous mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen. It notes that different steps involved in the process including carbonylation, and nitrite regeneration, and cites economic performance of the manufacturing process.
