- Abstract
An editorial is presented on the use of Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) as a functional biomarker to identify postoperative patients at risk of pulmonary complications. Topics include exploring the identification of distinct phenotypes using EIT data, potential implications for clinical outcomes, and the need for further research to validate and expand the application of EIT in perioperative medicine.
