- Title
SLOWLIFE: SONIFICATION OF PLANT STUDY DATA.
- Authors
Gibson, John
- Abstract
The article looks at the sound installations at the sLowlife, an exhibit on plant biology at the U.S. Botanic Garden. A sonic environment was provided that helped visitors ease into a contemplative frame of mind including soft and slow moving sound coming across as an auditory analog of the slow changes in the lives of plants. Stereo streams were provided in such a way that visitors experience a variable mix between the streams.
