- Abstract
The article explores the modifications made to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program by the 2014 Farm Bill with the goal of adjusting the U.S. food system and provide healthier diets for those in the low-income bracket. Topics discussed include the provision of funds to low-income families for use in purchasing food, the revisions made to vendor standards, and its impact on the food environment and the Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive program.
