Title
Miner Electric Inc., Russell E. Miner vs. Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
Abstract
The article reports on the resolution of the legal case of Miner Electric Inc., Russell E. Miner vs. Muscogee (Creek) Nation. In the case the Court of Appeals reversed a judgment in favor of a corporation and its owner against an Indian tribe, holding that Title I of the Indians Civil Rights Act (ICRA), upon which the corporation relief, did not abrogate tribal sovereign immunity, and, thus, the suits under ICRA were barred.
