- Abstract
The article discusses the effectiveness of obstetrics simulation technology to train medical personnel on labor and delivery in preventing complications like perineal lacerations and brachial plexus injury. Also cited are a brief history of obstetrics simulation like the use by 18th century French midwife of leather birthing mannequin to teach obstetric delivery management, and the three main focus areas of simulation like interval training, skill acquisition, and in-situ drills.
