- Abstract
The article discusses various physiological effects mediated by 3,4-Dihydroxycinnamic acid (3,4-DA) which is a natural compound with high antioxidant potential commonly found in various foods. It reports that experimental animals that were supplemented with 3,4-DA had higher exercise tolerance, reduced blood lactate level and also reduces fatigue associated with exercise. It mentions that 3,4-DA administration do not have any effect on blood glucose and antioxidant enzymes.
