- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the efficiency of the pine bark extract (PBE) against the atherosclerotic lesion developing in Apoenzyme (ApoE) deficient mice. The methods used include dietary treatment for ApoE deficient mice where the control group was treated with AIN-76 and the PBE group was treated with 2% PBE and analysis of variance (Anova). Result shows that PBE works significantly against atherosclerosis in male mice by lowering serum cholesterol level.
